If you have one drive, use the same command but when the computer prompts
you to insert the second disk, remove the DOS disk and insert the game disk.
It is complicated, but then BOOGERS! isn't even the name of the game. It's
DATNOIDS or something. Who would name a game BOOGERS!? I think it's
disgusting. To be fair to the writer, it is a pretty slick game, but
sometimes it's harder to run a game file than it is to play the game.
A hint that will serve you well as you go through life; If the Esc button
won't take you out of a program, hold down the Ctrl button and hit the Scroll
Lock/Break button. It should take you out of the game. If you don't get a
prompt >, type SYSTEM. If ALL else fails, hold down the Ctrl, the Alt and the
Del keys. This will shut down your entire system, losing anything active in
memory at the time.
One theory concerning the phenomenon of high-tech obfuscation is that it
is, in fact, exactly the point. Holders of that view, called Dramatiasts,
see all computer interaction as a game. CASTLE is an example of an
interactive game in which the rules are not given and much of the task before
the player is actually figuring out how to play, not just the playing.
